Cornwall Kitchen Studio

Cornwall is a foodie paradise: cheese and dairy, exceptional seafood, grass fed cattle and plenty of game. Cornwall’s stunning larder is no secret as my regular shoots with London hotel and restaurant groups are often peppered with, if not starring, Cornish produce.

With an abundance of award winning produce and some of the UK’s finest restaurants, Cornwall is a brilliant place to be a food photographer.

When I first arrived in Cornwall I discovered what drew so many artists to St Ives: the Cornish light. I think it comes from the county being surrounded by water and it makes for beautiful food shots.

My kitchen studio is close to Wadebridge and within easy reach of Padstow, Rock and Port Issac where some real superstar chefs are making waves โ€“ think Rick Stein, Nathan Outlaw, Paul Ainsworth, Tom Hunter and Jamie Porter. Further down the county you have Guy Owen doing great things at St Mawes and Chris Eden working his magic on the Roseland Peninsular.

This year we have shotย a numberย of cookbooks in the studio – ranging from stunning cakes through to interesting recipes featuring seaweed. We have also shot a bunch of animations for national clients, and a thousands of images for the web and social media.

Newquay airport is 30 minutes away and has regular London flights, and we have a working relationship with a lovely Farmhouse B and B up the road where clients often stay – the owners have a background in catering so people are guaranteed an excellent feed!

  1. So stunning I felt as if I was there. then I get to to the cake and next the boats and the out stove.. they are all so beautiful. The water. I want to shop in that kitchen
