An Australian Feast is an exciting new independent publication currently in production by award winning food photographer David Griffen. The book will follow on from David’s successful previous publication, the New West Country Cook Book.
Currently in its infancy the hard cover coffee table book will present a pictorial overview of some of the incredible ingredients that are being harvested in Australia (both Indigenous and introduced) and how they are being celebrated by a selection of world class chefs around the continent.
The new book will be modelled on the success of the New West Country Cook Book which featured the top 17 chefs of South West UK including Nathan Outlaw, Tom Kerridge, Michael Caines, Mitch Tonks, Paul Ainsworth and Mark Hix, and which exceed initial expectations selling out of its first print run within 12 months. Exploring the evolving food scene in the South West, the cook book brought together a superlative offering for foodies. Curating the publication, bringing together some of the UK’s best chefs in one beautiful book, was only achievable because of David’s professional relationships within the food industry, coupled with his expertise and talent for creating mouth-watering photography.

Over the last few years David Griffen has shot over a dozen cook books. He has also independently produced two hard cover cook books from the ground up, and this next book is shaping up to be a corker – it will be jam-packed with stunning photography produced over a twelve month tour of Australia, and seasoned with insights about Australian produce and ingredients from chefs and producers who are at the top of their game.
