Black and white framed print of the unusual Bush Yate Fruit (Eucalyptus Lehmannii). This fallen branch was collected whilst bush walking in Tasmania, and was one of the twenty images in David Griffen 2022 exhibition called FLORA.

Exploring the form and structure of Australian native plants, David has collected seed pods and native flora when bush walking with his family, bringing these back to the studio to photograph on black and white film.

He has produced this series of black and white photographs over the course of a year, processing and printing during late night darkroom sessions. For David, FLORA is also journey of rediscovery – exploring the alchemy of the darkroom that first drew him into photography 25 years ago.
